This week’s Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, is about our favorite nibbles when we’re reading. I actually don’t snack on anything when I’ve got a book out as I’m a clumsy, messy person who already puts her books at serious risk just by having them out. However, depending on where I’m doing my reading, I do tend to have different drinks at hand.
If I’m Outside in My Garden: Iced Tea or Lemonade
If I’m in Inside by the Fire: Tea in a Teacup to Feel Fancy
If I’m in My Hot Tub: Water (although never in anything made of glass, see above about my clumsiness, I don’t want to swim in broken shards)
If I’m at the Beach or on Vacation: Something Cold, Fun, and Fruity
If I’m Just Trying to Grab a Few Pages in the Morning: The Nectar of Life, Coffee
What do you like to eat or drink when you’re lost in your books? Let me know in the comments!
I recently purchased some Sticky Toffee Pudding hot chocolate and I love sitting sipping it whilst reading one of my study books x

I love how you’ve done your list!
I love sitting with a cup of tea and a good book.

Thanks! It’s the quintessential reading experience, isn’t it?

I never used to like it, but when I started teaching I was desperate for anything to help in the mornings, so I had some and was like “How did I survive all these years without this magical liquid??”

Yum to English Breakfast, for me it’s usually either that or Earl Grey. If it’s a cold night though, I bust out the fruity herbal teas.

They don’t drink it over here in the UK, they act like I’m insane for doing it, but that just means I don’t have to share my iced tea!

I would once again mention hating you for your hot tub except I’d be on my 10th Kindle and owe the library 1000s!

I usually only read my mass market paperbacks in the hot tub, as I already had to replace too many library books I dropped into my parents’ pool 😂 Lesson learned.

When we had our kitchen gutted last year, I was at my wit’s end with the horrible workers and non-stop issues. My husband came home one day and I was basically like, “Get in the car, we’re going to go buy a hot tub right now or you’re going to have to use the money for a defense lawyer in my murder trial.” It’s sooo expensive to run but it’s worth the extra hours at work to cover the costs.
Also, how is coffee not on everyone’s list?!

Hahaha- that’s a great story! And I agree coffee should be on everyone’s list. But one of the TTTers mentioned they can only do coffee in the morning, which made sense. I forget not everyone drinks coffee all day. Caffeine doesn’t affect me much, except that I get a headache if I don’t have it.
