Top Ten Tuesday: Favorite Things to Eat/Drink While Reading

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, is about our favorite nibbles when we’re reading. I actually don’t snack on anything when I’ve got a book out as I’m a clumsy, messy person who already puts her books at serious risk just by having them out. However, depending on where I’m doing my reading, I do tend to have different drinks at hand.

If I’m in My Hot Tub: Water (although never in anything made of glass, see above about my clumsiness, I don’t want to swim in broken shards)

    1. I never used to like it, but when I started teaching I was desperate for anything to help in the mornings, so I had some and was like “How did I survive all these years without this magical liquid??”

    1. When we had our kitchen gutted last year, I was at my wit’s end with the horrible workers and non-stop issues. My husband came home one day and I was basically like, “Get in the car, we’re going to go buy a hot tub right now or you’re going to have to use the money for a defense lawyer in my murder trial.” It’s sooo expensive to run but it’s worth the extra hours at work to cover the costs.

Also, how is coffee not on everyone’s list?!

      1. Hahaha- that’s a great story! And I agree coffee should be on everyone’s list. But one of the TTTers mentioned they can only do coffee in the morning, which made sense. I forget not everyone drinks coffee all day. Caffeine doesn’t affect me much, except that I get a headache if I don’t have it.
